¨ Pratap College is run by Khandesh Education Society(established in 1914). The College was established on 20 June 1945(71 Years of Long Journey)

About 3500 students in Senior College  are taking education in the every year. Most of the students are first time learners and from the poor farmer families. The College is situated in rural-tribal area.

Well-equipped independent Science laboratories  for U.G.& P.G. classes.

Independent space is provided to each subject from Arts, MMS, Commerce and Science Faculties.

Independent Computer centers with internet facility in most of the Science departments.

q  The college has good Literature support services in terms of Central Library having 1.29 Lakh books, 20 Research Journals and the College library is also registered under NLIST programme (under UGCINFONET Digital Library) to use more than 6000 e-journals and more than 135000 e-books.

q  Gymkhana with Outdoor Stadium and Indoor Hall having dimensions of international standards.

q  The college has independent Career and Counseling Centre with independent library to inculcate competitive skills and to make them prepare for UPSC and MPSC examinations.

Post Graduate Academic Programmes

Two years full time Post Graduate Academic Programmes: M.A., M.Sc., M.Com

(I)                        Master of Arts (M.A.): The college offers following subjects at p.g.level: English, Marathi, Hindi, History, Political Science, Economics, Geography. Admissions are on merit basis at College level. 

(II)  (A) Master of Science (M.Sc.): The college offers following subjects: Physics, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Microbiology.

(B)  Proposed Master of Science (M.Sc.) : Mathematics, Statistics and  Electronics.

(Note: Admissions to M.Sc. Programmes are through centralized admission process from North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.)

(III)     Master of Commerce (M.Com.): The College offers M.Com. Programme. Admissions are on merit basis at College level.

Master of Business Management (M.B.M): For admission to M.B.M., the Candidate must  pass the Three Years Bachelor’s Examination of any Indian Statutory University.

Professional Courses:

  • Bachelor of Computer Application (B.C.A.) and Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree courses are run by the faculty of Commerce and Management.
  • The details of these courses are available in the Department of Computer Management (I.M.C.R.).

Eligibility Rules for Admission: F.Y.B.C.A and F.Y.B.B.A.:

F.Y.B.C.A.:

A candidate must have passed XII Standard H.S.C. Examination from Maharashtra State Board from Science or Commerce or Arts stream or Diploma recognized by Board of Technical Education with minimum duration of Three Years or its equivalent, or Candidate must have passed XII M.C.V.C. course from Maharashtra State Education Board.

F.Y.B.B.A.:

Candidate must have passed XII H.S.C. Exam. of Maharashtra State or its equivalent Examination or its equivalent with D.Ed. or Diploma in Engineering and Pharmacy from Maharashtra Technical Board or its equivalent. Or The candidate who has passed the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School, Delhi. Or Candidate must have passed XII MCVC course from Maharashtra State Education Board.

Career Oriented (Certificate & Diploma) Courses:

The college also offers following (Certificate & Diploma) Career Oriented Courses:

  •  Certificate Course in Functional Hindi - run by Department of Hindi.
  • Certificate Course in Speaking English run by Department of English.
